The TeachBox Data app enables wide-scale digital data gathering, despite limited internet access.
Gathering and storing data – TeachBox Data is a mobile application designed to be used by any level of worker responsible for gathering quantitative and qualitative data.
It allows organisations to efficiently and effectively gather data from questionnaires, interviews, observations, audio and video recordings.
Each time the application is used, the data captured is stored locally on the device and when an internet connection becomes available, the data is automatically uploaded to the TeachBox Portal for remote viewing.

Collecting data
While connected to the internet, resources such as reference documents, operating procedures, protocols, reminders and alerts related to a project are sent and received by the device.
These push notifications allow communication with the researcher before, during and after data collection.
Notifications, updates and communication

Active and passive data collection
TeachBox Data passively gathers time, date and GPS location whenever the device is in use. This reduces the workload of the user and enables automated mapping and visualisations to be developed.
All data gathered is automatically uploaded to the Portal every time the device is connected to the internet. While an internet connection is not available, all data is stored safely and securely in the Data application.

"TeachBox Data will improve the countries poor existing community health surveillance systems and consequently contribute immensely in reducing the communicable disease burden."
